This Raspy sweater is definitely raspy. But not too. I used 15 skeins of Den-M-Nit Pure Indigo Cotton in Mid-Indigo from Elann.com. Size six needles. Size small. No smudge on the clothes and no dye on the fingers. When I've used denim yarn in the past, the color gets everywhere. Maybe this time, the marathon knitting involved dehydrated me or something.
But my row gauge was off, so it was longer than intended and I ended up using two extra skeins of that Den-M-Nit. And I ended up cutting off the sleeves in a fixer-upper session that lasted way too long and really got my goat, if you know what I mean.
But here it is, in all its glory. Gotta love it. But only after about five sessions in the washer/dryer, maybe three gallons of sweat, a couple band-aids for the middle finger, a few ounces of self-tanner and just the tiniest bit of red wine...
(Oh yeah, it's from Rowan's Denim People.)
