CUSTOM KNITS ACCESSORIES
Jacquard Slouch
(pg. 44)
Chart doesn't indicate vertical repeat. It should be rounds 3 - 14. So, to recreate the hat with the diamonds, work rounds 1 - 14 once, then 3 - 14 two more times.
CUSTOM KNITS 2
Candy
(pg. 137)
Use smaller needles for ribbing, then change to larger needles for Body.
Eyelet Cardigan
(pg. 121)
When working the sleeves, place reserved sts on needle, pick up and knit sts, knit to end, pick up and knit sts and then place marker. In first couple of editions, the marker placement is wrong.
Lemon Drop
(pg 134)
Rnds 5 - 6 of repeating stitch pattern should read: Rnds - 5 - 7 so there are three rnds of garter stitch, not two.
Poolside
(pg 96)
Stitch pattern, FLAT version: Row 4 should be KNIT, not purl.
CUSTOM KNITS
Pink
(pg 24)
When separating sleeves from body, the orientation is reversed. Work Left Front, transfer Left Sleeve sts to waste yarn, Work Back, transfer Right Sleeve sts to waste yarn, work Right Front. Join body in same manner: Left Front/Back/Right Front.
Backward Cable Cowl
(pg. 36)
Under "Shape Waist" section, the series of stitch counts under "Increase Rnd" and the one that follows are transposed. The first series under "Increase Rnd" should be: 162 (182, 202, 218, 242, 262, 282) sts. The series of stitch counts that follow should be: 164 (184, 204, 220, 244, 264, 284) sts. Orientation for separating sleeves from Body is reversed. "Right" should become "Left," and vice versa.
Indigo Playmate
(p. 28)
Under Shape Waist section, Decrease Row (RS) should read: "Decrease 4 sts this row, then every 6 rows twice, as follows: *Work to next waist marker, ssk, work to 2 sts before next waist marker, k2tog; repeat from * once, work to end.
Ingenue
(pg. 40)
Clarification: If you are not used to working in the rnd, place a marker so you know where to do your sleeve shaping as follows: When you place your sts onto your needles, you knit all the way around and then pick up and knit 0 (2, 8, 10, 12, 18, 16) sts at the underarm. Which means: "place sts on needles, work all the way around, p/u&k 0 (1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 8), pm, p/u&k 0 (1, 4, 5, 6, 9, 8)"... You can then work your decreases on each end of the marker. Although this sweater is reversible, and the front and the backs are the same, for the sake of consistency, it will might better sense to switch "Back" to "Front" and "Front" to "Back" when separating sleeves from Body. There will first be a Left sleeve, then a Right sleeve.
Lion Neck
(pg. 44)
Stitch counts on second increase row is incorrect. They should be: 32 (34, 34, 36, 42, 44, 46) sts. Under Body section, work to first marker before placing sleeve sts on waste yarn. Orientation for separating sleeves from body and joining Body is reversed. See Pink errata for more information.
The following corrections are for the first size (X-Small) only; all other sizes remain as given. In the initial CO row for the Yoke, CO 2 sts for each of the Sleeves, instead of 1 st. This will increase the total number of sts by 2 throughout the Yoke, and the number of sts in each Sleeve by 1. You will end the Yoke with 122 sts; 28 sts for each Sleeve. When working the Body, you will place 28 sts on waste yarn for each of the Sleeves. When working the Sleeves, each Sleeve will have 30 sts (instead of 29) after you CO the 2 underarm sts. When you finish the Sleeve shaping, each Sleeve will have 26 sts (instead of 25); you will only increase 2 sts on the last rnd to get to a final count of 28 sts before changing to 3x1 Rib in-the-Round.
Skinny Empire
(pg. 48)
When transferring sleeve sts to waste yarn, the Left sleeve will be encountered first, then the Right.
Jane
(p. 65)
FINISHING- A section instructing how to knit the Mandarin Collar (First Printing only) on the Jane Cardigan was omitted
Here it is:
Place reserved sts at back Neck on spare needle. With RS facing and beg 2" from beg of slope along Right Front, pick up and knit an even number of stitches to reserved sts at back Neck. Knit across reserved stitches. Pick up and knit same number of stitches as Right Front down Left Front to 2" from end of slope along Left Front. Work Seed St (resume patt as before) for 11 rows. BO loosely.
Slinky Ribs
pg 76
There's an error in size Large in Work Rib Detail 1 (fourth number in sequence). If Detail 1 is worked as corrected, Detail 2 will work correctly. It should read as follows:
Work Rib Detail 1: Work 3 (5, 1, 1, 3, 7, 1) sts, k4, *p2, k6; repeat from * to last 1 (7, 3, 3, 1, 5, 3) sts, p1 (2, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2), k0 (5, 1, 1, 0, 4, 1).
There's also a single small error in size 2X-Large in Work Rib Detail 2. It should read as follows:
Sizes X-Small (1X-Large, 2X-Large)
Work Rib Detail 2: Work 7 (15, 3) sts....
Jewel
(pg. 90)
Under Stitch Patterns, Hourglass Rib: Row 4 should read: P2, *ssk, k1, p2; repeat from * to end. "Skp" was printed instead of "ssk."
Favorite Cardigan
(pg. 129)
When separating sleeve sts to waste yarn, separate Left sleeve first, then Right sleeve. Orientation was reversed. Under "Shape Sleeve" section, the decreases should be done as follows: K1, k2tog, work to 3 sts before end of rnd, ssk, k1.
