I must be some sort of negative nelly because I can't stand New Year's Eve. It is so overrated. Sorta like Valentine's Day is overrated because if you dare leave the house and go have dinner it's so crowded and they jack the prices up for the evening. I have always thought that Valentine's Day could stand in as one of those answers parents always give their children whenever they ask: "Why do they have a Mother's Day and a Father's Day?"
"Because every day is Kid's Day," I hear myself saying.
That's why I wonder: Why do we have to have a Valentine's Day if every day is a day for love?
(Whoops. Nearly threw up there.)
The house is now empty of December memories and for that, I am thankful. Rocko is on a hunger strike now that The Bunny is gone and he keeps looking in the laundry room to see if she might be there. I might be reading into things that aren't really happening, but you know how it is.
Knitting content coming soon; I swear.
